(رويترز) - عرضت شركة طيران وستجيت ايرلاينز ليمتد الكندية على ركابها يوم الثلاثاء توفير "قمرة نوم" صغيرة فوق المقاعد في المكان المخصص للامتعة الخفيفة لقاء سعر زهيد يبلغ 12 دولارا كنديا. وحفاظا على تقليدها الغريب في اصدار بيانات صحفية يوم الاول من ابريل نيسان قالت الشركة التي تعد ثاني اكبر شركة طيران في كندا ان الركاب بمقدورهم الاسترخاء والتمدد في مكان تخزين الامتعة. وقالت الشركة في بيانها "من خلال تقديم مكان الامتعة الموجود بالفعل فوق رؤوس الركاب كقمرة للنوم سيكون لدى الركاب الان فرصة للنوم لفترة من الوقت والوصول الى مقاصدهم وهم يشعرون بالراحة والانتعاش والنشاط." وهذه أحدث مزحة لشركة وستجيت التي تعامل الجمهور بود وتضيف لمسة من خفة الظل على اعلاناتها. وفي 2006 نصحت الشركة في بيان صحفي بمناسبة يوم الاول من ابريل نيسان الركاب بمد اذرعهم خلال اقلاع الطائرة للمساعدة في توفير الوقود. واضيف للبيان الصحفي الذي اصدرته الشركة يوم الثلاثاء رقم هاتف مجاني يمكن للركاب الاتصال به للتأكد من ان قمرات النوم متوفرة. وتكشف رسالة مسجلة المزحة لدى الاتصال كما تعلن للعملاء عن تخفيض بنسبة عشرة في المئة على الرحلات التي تم حجزها قبل منتصف الليل.

WestJet Airlines offered p***engers a small "sleeper cabin" in its planes' overhead luggage bins on Tuesday, available for a modest extra charge of $12.Continuing its irregular tradition of April Fools' Day press releases, Canada's No. 2 airline, said p***engers would be able to stretch out and relax in the luggage rack.
"By offering our existing overhead bins as sleeper cabins, guests will now have the opportunity to lie down for a period of time and arrive at their destination refreshed, rested and ready to go," the airline said in its release
t's just the latest prank for WestJet, which touts friendly service and a light-hearted touch in its advertisements.
In 2006, the carrier's April Fools' press release advised p***engers to stretch out their arms during takeoff to help save fuel.
WestJet's press release includes a toll-free telephone number that p***engers can call to check on the availability of the sleeper cabins. A recorded message reveals the prank, but also offers customers a 10 percent discount on flights booked before midnight.
